Did you know that there is a strong link between regular attendance and academic success?? 📚

Chronic absenteeism, defined as missing just 2 days a month, can seriously affect a student's academic progress.

Frequent absences can lead to:

• Difficulties in reading for younger students
• Middle schoolers struggling to keep up with their coursework
• High schoolers falling behind on graduation requirements

If there are obstacles impacting your student's attendance, Hillsborough County Public Schools has resources to help! The student services team, teachers, and administrators at every school can assist in overcoming challenges that prevent students from attending school.

Contact your child’s school or visit https://www.hillsboroughschools.org/attendance for additional resources!

Let’s finish strong for these last three weeks before the winter holidays and give our best effort to wrap up 2024 with a focus on coming to school every day!

✨Every day matters! ✨
