Dr A.N.V Rao’s Gurukulam Program, in cooperation and partnership with USF, is
dedicated to serving educational assistance to the students. Dr A.N.V.Rao
(1936-2006) was the founder of the Gurukulam Program and diligently worked to
raise it to the recognizable status of excellence. This program is a not-for-profit
community program. After Dr A.N.V. Rao, to continue his legacy, his wife Mrs
Sara
la Rao has taken this responsibility to serve students around the community
from 2007 until today. This program is held on USF Tampa campus every Sunday
from 10am-12pm in Cooper Hall third floor. Dr Rao Gurukulam Program strives to provide assistance for education for
students of diverse ethnic, racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Dr
A.N.V. Rao Gurukulam program is dedicated to assist school students with the
subjects like mathematics, sciences, reading and writing among others and
thereby help them to get admission into a best university or college after their
schooling. We are grateful to USF Faculty, Graduate, Undergraduate students
those who stood forward voluntarily for volunteering for this program. Presently,
every Sunday we have about 15 to 20 students attending this program and
atleast 10 volunteers helping them. Dr A.N.V.Rao Program also strives to promote in students a sense of responsibility
for their own development, understanding the subject thoroughly, build the
desire to learn, the ability to think clearly and express themselves effectively. We seek all your cooperation and support to keep this program at the highest
possible level of tutorial assistance for our students. Our doors are open for those
who are interested in supporting our mission. We would take this as an
opportunity to invite anyone interested in volunteering for our program.
