Race events take place along the beautiful waterways of downtown Tampa, the #1 City in the Southeast. Launching from Tampa's WaterWorks Park, race divisions include

elite, recreational, teams and kids. See top athletes compete in this live MC'd sporting event featuring all-day family friendly fun, food, exhibits and music and more. The Gasparilla SUP Invasion is a featured event in Riverfest 2017.

ABOUT THE RACE The Gasparilla Stand Up Paddleboard Invasion Turns 5! Tampa’s grass roots event has grown into a legendary SUP race known throughout Florida that attracts participants from all over the US & Canada, including Washington D.C., CA, NY, TX, PA, MD, SC and GA. Mark your calendar and join in Saturday, May 4th 2019 as a racer or reveler in the 5th Annual Gasparilla SUP Invasion. Race events take place along the beautiful waterways of downtown Tampa, the #1 City in the Southeast. Launching from Tampa's WaterWorks Park, race divisions include elite, recreational, teams and kids. Top athletes and weekend warriors compete in this live MC'd sporting event featuring all-day family friendly fun, food, exhibits and music and more. The Gasparilla SUP Invasion is Saturday’s headline event during Tampa Riverfest. Spanning the entire length of the Tampa Riverwalk, Riverfest features family-friendly activities and events showcasing Tampa’s cultural institutions, local music and restaurants.
