What a lovely weekend.

So much to shout out about. Good things happening for many of our Barony.

The step down of our loved Majesties Broneach ( Patricia McGee) and Logan T. Gardener, each receiving their Duchy. Their lovely scrolls acid etched in brass by Wolfgang Von Wuestenberg.

The coronation of TRM Zbina and Yoan II ( Trish Amador , Rickey Feyes ) their court garb was beautiful as was their overall ceremony. We wish them well and are excited for their reign.

Arthur Elwin received an Order of the Emerald Seas for Service to the Queen and Tradewinds Trimaris for his block carving classes

Samuel Updyke received the Order of the Argent Sword. Receiving a beautiful plaque to commemorate from Ari Tyrbrandr

I had the pleasure of meeting a new lovely person to our lands, Johanna. She migrated to Wyvernwoode with her sister, her brother has recently joined us in Darkwater. She is not on facebook, but will be joining us at our next social and possibly the next art day. She has some garb that she would like to donate to our Gold Key. I made some introductions for her and her brother in hopes that we get to see them again.

Broneach received a Argent Estoille for her many scrolls she created during her time as Queen.

Gina M Watson-Haley who used to live in our lands was elevated to the Order of the Laurel in a magical ceremony. Her vigil tent was beautiful and the foods exquisite.

There was the announcement of our next Baron and Baroness. Grimr Jotun-Bjarnarson and Lisbet Van Luxemburg. ( Sam Gifford & Megan Harding ) who will be invested at our Baronial 50th year anniversary Oct 23-25 at the Masons Youth Camp. We wish them much success in continuing the legacy of our Beloved Barony.

Our next Seneshal will be Halfdàn Eldinghögg taking the office the end of May.

We also congratulate Master Ari O.D. on fighting his prize at coronation.

Our muchly esteemed Forenobles Saef and Sibeal Inghean Mhurchadha bade their farewell to Trimaris which has been their home for neigh 20+ years. They served a term as our nobles of Wyvwenwoode. We will miss them both greatly, their wealth of knowledge, counsel and trade secrets in the arts enriched our lands.

Many of us were at Gulf War ###IV this past week. Our weather was hot, it rained, it got cold, sleeted and was hot again. People smiled, sang, fought heavy weapons, rapier, equestrian, thrown weapons, archery, combat archery, did art, took classes, and simply enjoyed the revelry of being in the moment. Hopefully we will see photos added to the few chosen below.

We hope to see you soon at our coronation of TRH Yoan and Zbina.

We have Candidates for Nobility!

We are pleased to announce
Grímr Jǫtun-Bjarnarson and Lijsbet Van Luxemburg
and
Halfdan Eldinghogg and Serafina da Firenze

These good gentles have put forth their names as desiring to fill the roles of Baron and Baroness of the Barony of Wyvernwoode.

By the timeline set forth by Their Royal Majesties, by the end of next week, Jan 17th, we will be reaching out to the Kingdom Seneschal to request a roster of addresses of all members within our beloved Barony.

The Crown has requested mail-in ballots with comments to be mailed to them. We urge everyone to double check your membership addresses with SCA.ORG immediately to make sure your mailing address is accurate. We will be stuffing envelopes with ballot, and return addressed envelopes, to be sent out/postmarked by the 28th of Feb. They need to be returned no later than the postmark date of March 21st. Their Majesties, Bronach and Logan, will be announcing the new incoming Nobles at Coronation. If you play with the Barony but do not reside within the Barony, you are invited to share your thoughts to Their Majesties via electronic email. The investiture of the new Nobles will be at our 50th Year Anniversary / Bash, October 2026.

We want to welcome these new candidates. With youth and vigor on their side we have no doubt they will serve their time as Nobles with the steadfastness that the role requires.
