The Tampa Bay Conservancy is seeking the services of a consultant to advance the mission of the Conservancy through community outreach, fundraising, and the development of new conservation opportunities. The consultant will demonstrate the ability to engage with major landholders within the community, as well as collaborate with community groups and government agencies to expand conservation options in partnership with the Conservancy. Fundraising efforts will include grant writing, increasing sponsor base and organizing fundraising campaigns. The applicant will oversee the organization’s website and social media accounts, as well as participate in educational opportunities in the community.
The consultant will work independently and report directly to the Conservancy President or designee.
Preferred qualifications include a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of ten years of responsible experience in the fields of conservation work, natural resource management, land management or a related field. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work independently in facilitating conservation opportunities in the community. The applicant should be able to demonstrate experience in the field of fundraising and promotion of organizational objectives through social media platforms. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are mandatory.
