Shoe Giver of Tampa Shoe Giver of Tampa (SGOT) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide new shoes to children in need.

Jacob Rice (16) founded SGOT in 2006 at the age of 10. Jacob learned that in his own community an overwhelming number of children needed shoes that fit correctly and many of these children had never owned a new pair of shoes. Jacob believed that if children had new shoes that fit correctly, they would gain more pride, comfort and confidence. Jacob was determined to make a difference and he founded

Shoe Giver of Tampa. Since its founding in 2006, Shoe Giver of Tampa has distributed over 900 shoes throughout the Tampa Bay area and another 700 internationally. With the help of volunteers, monetary donations, and product donations SGOT plans to broaden its impact to help more children in need of shoes.
