Recognizing the cultural identity of a sacred tradition does NOT mean one group of people is spiritually superior to another!

🗣️🗣️🗣️EVERYBODY HAS ANCESTORS‼️☝🏾🔥
Everybody comes from a people.
And different peoples have their own sacred histories, spiritual traditions, and ancestral inheritances.

So here’s my question to the masses…

🔥 WHY DOES SPIRITUAL EQUALITY REQUIRE CULTURAL SAMENESS?!🤔

You can honor a tradition without claiming it as your own.

🌿 RESPECT DOES NOT REQUIRE POSSESSION.
🌿 APPRECIATION DOES NOT REQUIRE IDENTITY.
🌿 LEARNING DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY EQUAL BELONGING.
🌿 AND PROXIMITY DOES NOT EQUAL ANCESTRY!

Understanding Hoodoo as an ancestral Black American ethnoreligious tradition isn’t about declaring spiritual superiority. It’s about recognizing the PEOPLE, HISTORY, CULTURE, and ANCESTORS who shaped it!
