Ratification time!
As you may know, GAU and USF agreed to a bargaining settlement settlement in mid-August that preserves GA stipends, increases USF's contribution to GA health insurance (with the net result that we pay the same $159 as last year, rather than increasing to $437 if we didn't agree to the settlement), and implements some minor contract language changes (including a provision that all appointments should have the same start/end dates as faculty appointments, preventing departments from stealthily cutting GAs' pay by shortening their appointments).
In order for this agreement to take effect, we need to formally ratify (approve) it. The vote will be held online, starting 12:00 AM on 9/18 (this Friday) and ending at 11:59 PM the following Monday (9/21). We'll then count the ballots in a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, 9/22, which will be recorded and posted to YouTube.
