So yesterday I had to travel for work and was going to be gone for 14 hours, but I have two bottle babies in my care who need to eat every 4 hours, so obviously that was a problem!

I was unable to find anyone to petsit for me because everyone is already full with foster kittens of their own. My last option was to train my husband how to bottle-feed....but he's never bottle-fed kittens before and isn't really into all the chaos that fostering entails. However, he's a huge animal lover, so he reluctantly said, "Sure... I guess!" 😆

He was nervous that he wouldn't be able to do it, but after watching me a few times and getting some practice in, he was a natural. 🍼

Every 4 hours, Poppy and Poe got their bottle, and I got updates throughout the day that everything was going well, even though they threw a few curveballs his way!

Fostering is definitely my passion, but moments like this remind me how lucky I am to have someone who's willing to jump in, learn something new, and help when these tiny babies need it. ❤️ It takes a village!

You think little Poppy is comfy?! 🥹

She saw the vet today at because I was concerned about her energy level, eyes and also her weight gain stalled. The vet said she was being very sassy and that her energy level was great! 😆 She even hissed at me post her appointment, but then melted once she realized it was me! ❤️

The last 4 meals have been much better. The vet also added additional meds to what she's already on in hopes that we can save her eyes. Overall she's doing okay and I'm more optimistic than I was yesterday!

His eyes have started to clear up nicely, he eats great, has energy and is even using the litter box all on his own like a big boy! He's so sweet and such a handsome little guy!

Last night the little orange kitten finally opened her eyes. ❤️‍🩹 After 27 hours in foster care, around the clock care, bottle feedings, meds, warm compressions, nebulizing treatments and so many snuggles and kisses she's finally doing well enough where I can stop holding my breath!
