More than Just Talk
Many times people cross paths, discuss world issues and local disparities, come up with suggestions and then walk away hoping someone heard the discussion and will do something. That isn’t our story; instead of talking about the importance of helping our Tampa Bay area high school students, we have pulled our talents, resources, and passion to put together G.E.R.M. (Giving Essential Resources to Minorities). We are more than just a group of friends and fellow professionals, we are each individuals who share a passion for helping our community, sharing the importance of higher education , knowledge on the paths to take once you are in college, and tips on financial literacy and success after graduation.
G.E.R.M. is more than just another scholarship sponsor; it is an organization that will conduct monthly workshops for sharing information on resume writing, personal finance, ways to succeed in college, and so much more! We don’t want to just help provide the funds needed to make college a reality, we want to ensure we help plant the “seeds of success” in each deserving student while they are in college and later as professionals with degrees.
