Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Leon Presented by VyStar Credit Union

At Making Strides events around the country, people are coming together to save lives, celebrate lives and fight for a world without cancer! For nearly 100 years, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Together with millions of our supporters worldwide, we’re helping people stay well, helping people get well, finding cures, and fighting back against cancer.

Every Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about steps we can take to reduce our risk of getting breast cancer, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them in Leon county. Since Making Strides began 20 years ago, breast cancer death rates have declined more than 36 percent. We are making history, and you have the opportunity to be involved in your community. Making Strides is a volunteer led event and there are many opportunities to get involved with the event.
