DENVER FAMILY MEET-UP

There is still time to join us in Denver from August 5–9 for our Ring14 family meetup and multidisciplinary clinic visits at Children’s Colorado!

This opportunity is open to all families affected by an anomaly of the 14th chromosome, including rings and deletions such as 14q22q23 and all anomaly's on the 14th chromosome.

If you are interested in attending, please complete the Family Input Form by June 5th. Travel scholarships are available to help make attendance possible for families.

We currently have 9 families attending and are looking forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces from our community.

In addition to clinic visits with the MDC team, we will also be hosting family dinners, moms-only and dads-only evening talk time, and opportunities to connect with other families who truly understand the journey.

We are so excited to see everyone, build connections, and continue growing this community together.

Dear Families,

We are excited to share that we are moving forward with our plans to gather in Colorado and have our children seen at the multidisciplinary Neurogenetic Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

This year’s event will be more of a family meetup rather than a traditional full conference. Instead of a full schedule of presentations and meetings, our focus will be on family connection and clinic visits. We will also host a dinner with our clinic physicians on Friday evening.

Clinic visits will take place over two days:

August 6: Neuropsychology evaluations

August 7: Clinic visits with the multidisciplinary clinical team

The overall meetup dates will be August 5–8/9. Since clinic visits conclude on August 7, families who wish to depart on Saturday are welcome to do so.

We are currently confirming group rates at the Hyatt House located across from the hospital.

To help us finalize hotel accommodations and plan the weekend agenda, we are attaching a form for families to complete. We are also including a slide presentation with additional information about the clinic and how the visit process works.

With only approximately 200 diagnosed Ring14 cases worldwide, along with a small number of related chromosome 14 duplications and deletions, our community may be small—but it is incredibly strong and connected.
