We’re Hiring!

Grace Lutheran Church is seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our church office.

This position serves as our primary receptionist and provides administrative support to our staff and ministries in a welcoming, service-focused environment.

Position at a glance:
🕒 Approximately 20 hours per week
💵 $16.00 per hour
📍 Grace Lutheran Church in Carrollwood
💻 Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint proficiency required
📋 At least one year of administrative or office support experience required
🗃️ Church Windows experience is helpful, but training is available

We’re looking for someone who communicates well, pays attention to detail, works reliably and independently, and enjoys working with people.

Volunteers Needed – No Experience Necessary

There are many ways to serve at Grace—and some of them happen quietly behind the scenes.

We're looking for volunteers to help in two important ways:

⛪ Pew Angels
Help prepare our pews each week with new envelopes and giving cards, replenish pencils, and straighten the hymnals.

💒 Depositors
Two volunteers are needed each week to retrieve the offering plates, place the donations in a large envelope, and deposit it in the church safe.

No experience necessary. On-the-job training is provided.

Simple ways to serve. A meaningful way to help care for our shared ministry.

Last Sunday, Peter confessed: "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Jesus praised him. But the story doesn't end there.

In tomorrow's Gospel, Jesus begins to tell his disciples what lies ahead—suffering, death, and resurrection.

Peter can't accept it. He rebukes Jesus. And Jesus responds: "Get behind me, Satan!"

The disciple who had just been praised now finds himself being corrected by the very One he confessed as Messiah. Peter knows who Jesus is. But he is still learning what following Jesus means.

Come tomorrow to hear the continuation of Matthew's story—and receive the life that only Jesus can give.

Clean Water. Shared Service.

Clean, safe drinking water is something many of us rarely have to think about.

For communities around the world, it can be much harder to access.

This Sunday, August 30, following worship, Grace is partnering with Wine to Water and Thrivent for a hands-on opportunity to make a difference.

Together, we'll build water filters that will help provide access to clean, safe drinking water for communities facing water challenges in Venezuela.

And this is something everyone can help with.
