Jesus sees the crowds with compassion.

He sees people who are weary, harassed, and searching for hope.

He calls disciples. He sends them to share good news, bring healing, and serve others in his name.

Together, we gather to hear God's Word, receive God's promises, and be strengthened for the work to which Christ calls us.

💬 Come hear the story.
🙏 Come receive the promise.
✨ Come worship together.

In this Sunday's gospel, Jesus calls the twelve apostles and sends them out to carry on his work of proclaiming the good news and healing the sick.

Come to worship so that you can hear this good news and, at the table of the Lord, be strengthened for the tasks of healing the sick and casting out evil in the name of Jesus.

"Peace be with you."

Each week, during worship, we share Christ's peace with one another. It is more than a greeting. It is a reminder that Christ's peace goes with us into our homes, our workplaces, our schools, and our community.

As Jesus sent his disciples, he instructed them to bring peace wherever they went.

May we do the same.

Since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We do not earn God's love. We do not achieve God's grace. These are gifts freely given through Christ.

Because of that grace, we live in hope. Because of that grace, we stand in faith. Because of that grace, we know that God is with us.

This weekend, members of Grace Lutheran gathered with Lutherans from across Florida for Synod Assembly. Together we worshiped, learned, prayed, and listened for God's guidance for the church.

We give thanks for opportunities to gather with fellow believers and to be reminded that Christ's church is larger than any one congregation.

In Matthew 9:18-26, Jesus encounters two very different people: a synagogue leader pleading for his daughter and a woman who has suffered in isolation for twelve years. Though their circumstances are vastly different, Jesus sees both with the same compassion and love.

These intertwined stories remind us that no one is invisible to God. Whether we stand at the center of the crowd or on its margins, Christ calls us beloved and welcomes us into God's grace.

Watch this week's sermon as we explore how Jesus restores not only health and life, but also dignity, belonging, and hope.

This Sunday, Jesus calls Matthew to leave everything behind and follow him.

He welcomes those others overlook.
He shows mercy where others see judgment.
He brings healing to those who suffer.

And he restores life where hope seems lost.

Together, we gather to hear again Christ's invitation: "Follow me."

💬 Come hear the story.
🙏 Come receive the promise.
✨ Come worship together.

This Sunday, we hear the call of Jesus:

"Follow me."

In following Christ, we discover grace, healing, and new life.

At Christ's table, we receive the promises of God and the strength to continue the journey.

Come to worship, and may your faith make you well.

Jesus says, "I desire mercy, not sacrifice."

Mercy notices.
Mercy listens.
Mercy forgives.
Mercy welcomes.

In worship, we often pray: "Lord, have mercy."

This prayer, known as the Kyrie, reminds us that we come before God seeking grace, healing, and compassion.

As we receive God's mercy, may we also share that mercy with others.
