Florida is helping lead the way in advancing care, support, and advocacy for older adults nationwide.
Recently, Christine Didion, MSW, of the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. testified before the U.S. Senate Aging Committee on the importance of falls prevention programs and continued funding through the Older Americans Act. Karla Radka, CEO of Senior Resource Alliance - SRA Florida, also addressed the committee on the challenges facing Sandwich Generation caregivers - adults simultaneously caring for aging parents while supporting children or other family members.
Advocacy matters. These conversations help elevate the real needs of older adults, caregivers, and communities while ensuring aging services remain a national priority. We encourage everyone to tune in, learn more, and help amplify these important discussions.
