Davis Island Youth Sailing Foundation DIYSF is a nonprofit educational organization promoting youth sailing and lifelong learning.

Through adventures on the water, students build confidence, independence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that extend far beyond steering a boat. Annual Summer Learn-To-Sail Program:

On behalf of the Davis Island Youth Sailing Foundation, Inc. (DIYSF) we welcome you and your family to our Learn-to-Sail Program. To those who will be coming to our program for the first time, we extend a special welcome. We hope your new skippers will enjoy the wonderful and challenging sport of sailing and gain an interest in an exciting activity in which they can participate for the rest of their lives.

Davis Island Race Team participated in the Bruce Watters Green Fleet Regatta hosted by St. Petersburg Yacht Club.

Bruce Watters is an annual regatta designed for beginner Opti sailors and is an excellent introduction into the start of their regatta season. For many of our green fleet sailors, this was their first experience competing in a regatta!

There were lots of smiles, laughs and fun had throughout the weekend, all while introducing the sailors to a competitive racing environment.

Davis Island Race Team sent 4 C420 sailors to the Equinox Regatta hosted by Florida Yacht Club this past weekend.

Under the guidance of Coach Kevin Dooley, the sailors did an amazing job of sailing on the St. John’s River in Jacksonville, Fl.

We are proud to share:

🥈Morgan Bacon/Harper Emerson placed 2nd

Davis Island Race Team has been busy! Over the course of Labor Day weekend, sailors from the green, RWB and C420 fleets participated in the 78th Annual Labor Day Regatta hosted by Sarasota Youth Sailing.

DIYSF sailors put their skills to the test over the course of two days of racing. They exhibited confidence, character and resilience on the race course!

We are proud of all of our sailors for competing and to also share:

🥈Cabel Clark / Luke Mullinax (C420) placed 2nd overall

🏆 Peyton Jordan (green fleet) was awarded the Green Fleet Sportsmanship Award

Calling all sailors, young and old — registration is open for the DIYSF Pram Jam Regatta!

The Pram Jam, an annual tradition at the Davis Island Youth Sailing Foundation (DIYSF), isn't just another race—it's a beloved event designed to foster camaraderie and bridge the gap between seasoned adult sailors and the next generation of youth sailors. Since its creation in 1998, the event has been a unique way for the Foundation to build a stronger community, bringing together the DIYSF and the Davis Island Yacht Club (DIYC) members for a day of spirited competition and collaboration.
