On behalf of the Davis Island Youth Sailing Foundation, Inc. (DIYSF) we welcome you and your family to our Learn-to-Sail Program. To those who will be coming to our program for the first time, we extend a special welcome. Calling all sailors, young and old — registration is open for the DIYSF Pram Jam Regatta!

The Pram Jam, an annual tradition at the Davis Island Youth Sailing Foundation (DIYSF), isn't just another race—it's a beloved event designed to foster camaraderie and bridge the gap between seasoned adult sailors and the next generation of youth sailors. Since its creation in 1998, the event has been a unique way for the Foundation to build a stronger community, bringing together the DIYSF and the Davis Island Yacht Club (DIYC) members for a day of spirited competition and collaboration.

The Davis Island Youth Sailing Foundation Race Team is welcoming sailors interested in developing their racing skills, building confidence, and becoming part of a supportive team environment.

Our race team offers opportunities for sailors at multiple experience levels—from those preparing for their first regatta to experienced competitors looking to advance their skills. Sailors receive professional coaching, structured practices, and opportunities to compete in local, regional, and national events.

At Summer Sail Camp, every day on the water brings a new adventure—and a chance to learn important skills like reading the weather, adapting to changing conditions, and making safe decisions.

A huge thank-you to the Dinghy Dames of Davis Island for their generous donation of Sunfish sailboats to our program! ⛵️

The boats have been a massive hit at Summer Sail Camp, giving our sailors even more opportunities to build confidence, learn new skills, and experience the joy of sailing.

Lots of activity on the water today at Summer Sail Camp! ⛵️

Our Argonauts are out exploring in three age groups—ages 5–6, 7–12, and teens—while our Foundations sailors are building their skills in both Level 1 and Level 3.

From first experiences on the water to more advanced boat handling and independent sailing, every group is learning, growing, and having fun on Hillsborough Bay. It is exciting to see so many young sailors gaining confidence, making new friends, and enjoying another great day at DIYSF Summer Sail Camp!

⛵ Learning to sail is about so much more than steering a boat.

Sailing helps young people build confidence, independence, problem-solving skills, and teamwork—all while spending time outdoors and having fun on the water.

Every trip teaches something new: how to read the wind, make quick decisions, communicate with others, stay calm under pressure, and keep trying when conditions change.

The skills learned on the water can last a lifetime. 🌊
