Truena en Tampa Bay ⚡️

Thank you to the Vinik Sports Group and the Tampa Bay Lightning for inviting us to your annual Noche Latina!

Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration of our roots, our history, and the impact that we have on the world.

At HPWA, we celebrate our heritage year-round, but this month always feels extra special for us and our fellow Tampa Bay Hispanic organizations. On the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month, we want to take a moment to highlight some of the events that brought our community together.

To be seen, to be known, to be lifted, to know one another — On September 19, we kicked off our 2026-2027 Mentorship Program. We could not have asked for a better way to start Hispanic Heritage Month.

A time for fútbol, cultura, y conexión — On October 4, we cheered for the Tampa Bay FC during their Noche Latina Game. A special thank you to Congressman Gus Bilirakis for donating mentee tickets! Your support for our mission means a lot.

A celebration of heritage, artistry, and perspective — On October 13, we joined the Tampa Bay Latin Chamber at their Unidos Somos Más Luncheon. The luncheon welcomed special keynote speaker Lyrik Cruz, who shared his powerful story.

Fashion, growth, and intention — On October 11, we partnered with Dillard's Brandon Exchange for our first Growth Lab. A special thank you to the Dillard's team for such a wonderful morning, full of great food, great looks, and great surprises!

Fashion is more than what you wear — it is a reflection of who you are.

On Saturday, HPWA had its first Growth Lab alongside Dillard’s at Brandon Exchange!

Mentees, mentors, and members caminaron la pasarela.

Vanessa Niño and her Dillard’s team showed us ways that we can use clothes and accessories to help us develop our personal brand.

We danced to the latin beats of DJ Johnnie Rivera.

Matcha Mamiii served us delicious drinks and Diana Delicias Bakery took us back to our roots with empanadas, croquetas, and yucca.

Thank you to Dillard’s for going above and beyond, and for believing in our mission!

Hay mujeres en Tampa Bay que simplemente hay que conocer. 🤍

Women building. Leading. Starting over. Opening doors. Giving back. And haciendo espacio para que otras también crezcan.

That’s what Women to Watch is about.

Through La Voz, we’re celebrating HPWA women in motion — not just for the titles they earn, but for the way they show up, evolve, and create impact around them.

Meet Ananis Makar, Sasha Fowler, and Cristina Blunt — three women, three different journeys, and one thing in common: they’re moving forward with purpose.

And esto apenas empieza.

October’s Women to Watch are coming next.

Are you an HPWA member with a new chapter, a big win, or work making an impact in our comunidad? Tell us. We want to know.

Not a member yet?

Come grow with us. Come be part of the room.

Where knowledge meets guidance and potential becomes possibility.
