Today's Rotary Club of Tampa meeting was a great reminder that sports are about much more than what happens on the field.

We had the privilege of hearing from Brian Ford, COO of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who shared an inspiring look at the vision, culture, and community impact the organization is building for the upcoming season. His behind-the-scenes insights reflected a team committed not only to winning games, but to serving the Tampa Bay community with excellence.

We were also excited to meet Tony Castricone, the new voice of the Buccaneers. It was a pleasure to welcome him to Tampa, and we look forward to hearing him bring the energy of Buccaneers football to fans across the region this season.

Thank you to Brian, Tony, and the Buccaneers organization for spending the afternoon with us. Here's to a great season, both on and off the field. Go Bucs!

Some leaders leave a legacy through what they accomplish.

Others leave a legacy through who they elevate.

Today, the Rotary Club of Tampa passed the gavel from Connie Gage to Jamie Adair.

Over the past 18 months, Connie led with a rare combination of humility, vision, and service. As she reflected on her journey, she shared stories of relationships, lessons from past leaders, and her commitment to pouring everything she had into this club. The result is something every Rotarian has felt: people are better because she was willing to lead.

As one chapter closes, another begins.

Jamie brings a leadership style rooted in trust, action, and the ability to see potential in others long before they see it in themselves. His focus, intentionality, and commitment to service make him the right leader for what comes next.

What stuck out most today wasn’t the passing of a gavel.

It was the reminder that leadership is still about people.

In a world increasingly driven by technology, automation, and transactions, there are still places where relationships matter, service matters, and community matters.

The Rotary Club of Tampa is one of those places.

Thank you, Connie, for the example you’ve set. Jamie, we’re excited for what’s ahead.

Welcome Nicole and Stephanie to our Rotary family! Our club is growing - 25 new members since July. It is a testament to the intention of our membership team - every new member gets a mentor, one on one training, and all the tools to make Rotary service the best it can be.

This picture is one example - a personal welcome event hosted by our membership committee, our president, & president-elect.

Dynamic new Rotarians like Stephanie and Nicole continue to mean we evolve and grow our impact with the leadership of local professionals. Thanks for taking the next step in service with us!

Coming together to serve our neighbors in need is one of the hallmarks of Rotary service. That is why we are all smiles when spending a midday Thursday serving 234 souls at Trinity Cafe, Feeding Tampa Bay's sitdown lunch spot, a sanctuary from the heat each weekday.

Not only that, we were blown away by Joy, the heart and hands behind Comfort & Joy Bedrolls. She and her team weave beautiful sleeping pads out of plastic bags and share those with the homeless. Amazing! We are ready to put out a bag collection bin - are you?

Service events show us the best of our community and make us even prouder to be part of it all. See you at the next one!

Our president- elect walks the talk every day. Congratulations on such a well earned honor!!

Congratulations to Jamie Adair!

We are so proud to share that Jamie Adair has been named a recipient of Rotary International's Service Above Self Award — the highest individual honor Rotary bestows. Only about 150 Rotarians worldwide receive this recognition each year, and Jamie has earned every bit of it.

After the 2024 hurricanes left his own home uninhabitable for nearly a year, Jamie didn't turn inward. He turned outward — to his neighbors, his community, and anyone who needed a hand.

He helped organize the mucking and gutting of flooded homes. He helped families secure supplies and navigate the nightmare of insurance claims. He partnered with our District's Foundation to connect people with financial support. He worked with the City of Tampa to address the drainage and stormwater issues at the root of so much of the flooding.

And he did all of this while showing up — cheerfully and completely — to every Rotary project and initiative, even as he was navigating his own loss.

Jamie, you are the definition of Service Above Self. We are honored to call you a member of the Rotary Club of Tampa and Rotary District 6890.

Wow! What an incredible Tuesday at the Rotary Club of Tampa!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Jeff Gigante, owner of Next Level Brands
, as our guest speaker. What a fantastic presentation! Thank you, Jeff, not only for your amazing restaurant concepts, but also for the tremendous impact you continue to make in our community.

It was truly a day of celebration and recognition as we honored our District Governor, Linda Devine, for becoming a new Major Donor and for her remarkable 30 years of service to Rotary.

We also proudly celebrated our own Jamie Adair, who was selected to receive the prestigious Service Above Self Award from Rotary International.

And I was deeply honored to receive the Rotarian of the Year Award from Rotary District 6890. I am incredibly proud to be part of such an outstanding club filled with people who lead with service, heart, and purpose.
