Congratulations to Austin Underwood and his family on being selected as Council 12165’s Family of the Month for August!

This recognition is presented to a family that has served as an inspiration to our parish, community, and Council by supporting and strengthening Catholic family life. Austin and his family exemplify these values through their faithful witness, generous service, and commitment to Christ the King Catholic Church - Tampa, FL Parish.

Strong families are the foundation of both our Church and our Council, and we are grateful for the many ways the Underwood family lives out their faith and inspires others to do the same.

🌍 A Journey of Faith, Fraternity & History 🌍

While celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary on a 15-day Mediterranean cruise through five countries and 12 cities, SK Gene and Pam D'Amore experienced several memorable moments that connected our Council to the universal Church and the rich history of the Knights of Columbus.

While in Rome, SK Gene enjoyed dinner with Christ the King seminarian Dakota Gates, presenting him with a $500 check through the Knights of Columbus 'RSVP Program'. This year, Council 12165 was honored to provide financial support to all four seminarians representing Christ the King Catholic Church - Tampa, FL. Dakota, who is studying at the Pontifical North American College, is doing well and sends his greetings to everyone back home.

During a Scavi Tour beneath St. Peter's Basilica, Gene also came across the Vatican Media Communications Mobile Unit, generously donated by the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council in support of the Vatican's worldwide communications ministry... a wonderful reminder of the Order's global impact.

The journey also included a stop in Portofino, near Genoa, where Gene visited a statue honoring Christopher Columbus, recognizing his birthplace and the legacy that inspired the founding of our Order more than 140 years ago.

Congratulations to Gene and Pam on celebrating their silver wedding anniversary, and thank you, Gene, for representing Council 12165 and the Knights of Columbus so well wherever your travels take you.

✨ 2026 Installation & Awards Dinner ✨

Council 12165 enjoyed a wonderful evening of fraternity, celebration, and gratitude at our Annual Installation and Awards Dinner.

The evening included the Installation of our incoming Officers and Trustees, joined by District leadership and many of the Ladies who continue to support the mission and spirit of our Council. Following the ceremony, attendees enjoyed an open bar reception with appetizers, along with a dinner buffet and dessert as Brothers and families gathered in fellowship.

His commitment to faith, fraternity, charity, and parish life has left a lasting mark on both the Council and the Christ the King community.

🌟 Congratulations Dillon Colaso, 2026 Altar Server of the Year

Christ the King Catholic Church - Tampa, FL Council 12165 are proud to celebrate Dillon Colaso on being named the 2026 Altar Server of the Year.

This recognition reflects Dillon’s reverence, dedication, and faithful service at the altar. Altar servers play an important role in the life of the Church, helping bring dignity and prayerfulness to the liturgy while setting an example for our parish community.

We are grateful for Dillon’s commitment to serving Christ and His Church, and we congratulate both Dillon and his family on this well-deserved honor.

May God continue to bless him in his faith journey and future endeavors.

✨ A Wonderful Evening of Recognition & Fellowship ✨

Christ the King Catholic Church - Tampa, FL Council 12165 enjoyed a meaningful monthly meeting this week, celebrating several special moments.

Highlights from the evening included:

• Recognition of our scholarship recipient, Anna Hahn, daughter of Michael Hahn
• Presentation of charitable contributions from our Annual Golf Tournament to Spirit FM 90.5 and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation
• Recognition of Gene’s grandson on his selection to attend the Buffalo Bills’ camp
• Honoring John Neukamm as Knight of the Month for his continued dedication and service to the Council

This past Monday, April 13, the Knights of Columbus - Christ the King Catholic Church - Tampa, FL Council 12165 Annual Charity Golf Tournament was a tremendous success!

With 176 golfers participating, we were proud to meet our goals and continue our mission of supporting those in need throughout our community.

We look forward to presenting checks on May 5 to our benefitting charities:

🐟✨ A Blessed Lenten Season of Fish Fries ✨🐟

As we look back on this year’s Friday Fish Fries at Christ the King Catholic Church - Tampa, FL, we’re grateful for another successful Lenten season filled with great food, fellowship, and community spirit.

Knights, families, and parishioners came together to share meals, laughter, and the joy of serving one another. Thank you to all who volunteered, attended, and supported these special evenings.

Your efforts made it truly memorable!

While the Fish Fries have come to a close, we now continue to celebrate the Easter season, leading us toward Pentecost on May 24… a time of renewal, hope, and the ongoing presence of the Spirit in our lives.
