We strive to end both physical and emotional hunger for those experiencing food insecurity in a dignified manner. In 2008, the members of Village Presbyterian Church began stocking a small closet with a few non-perishable food items to give to those whom were requesting help with groceries. By 2009, the small closet was no longer able to meet the needs of the growing number of families in need of
assistance. The members of Village Presbyterian Church transformed a portion of the church offices into the Community Food Pantry. Currently, the Community Food Pantry serves more than 1,600 families monthly during our drive-through distribution days. Community families can expect to receive a variety of essential grocery items that include cereal, pasta, fresh fruits and vegetables, prepared deli items, frozen meat, bread and desserts. We always welcome non- perishable food donations which can be delivered to the pantry Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am - 2:00pm. Donations can be left in our bins outside the pantry anytime. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, please visit the Community Food Pantry on Saturdays or Wednesdays between 9:00-11:00am. OUR GUIDELINES TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE:
Must have photo identification for each adult (over 18) that lives in the home. We serve anyone who comes to us and says they are hungry. Families or individuals may return once every 4 weeks for assistance.
