In store labeling "how to"
-----------------------------------
This is an easy action that anyone can do, whether alone or in a group. Just print labels, cut them out, and take them to the store.
You will need:
- Labels*
- Double Sided Tape
- Camera (to take photos of your action)
If acting in concert with a group of others be sure to enter the store separately. Grab a shopping cart, find the canned goods isle, grab a few cans, and set them in the cart seat basket. Wander off and continue "shopping," picking up a few items here and there while you apply new labels to canned foods. Once finished labeling, return to the canned goods isle, create a space for your newly labeled products, and return them to the shelf (if you're in a group, be sure that you leave your cans all in one section). Remember, the more spoof cans placed on the shelf, the more likely they are to get attention.
Our test run went extremely smoothly. No unwanted attention from store employees. No nosy shoppers. It's almost too easy.
If you can, be sure to snap pictures during you in-store action. For those acting in a group, you may want to designate a photographer to make things easier. As the photographer wont be involved in labeling it will be easier for them to hang around and try to catch customer reactions. Definitely get photos/videos of anyone you happen to see unknowingly taking our Franken Farms "food" to the checkout.
