The ROBOTICON Tampa Bay Youth STEM Showcase kicked off earlier this week with a great sampling of some of the different types of competitive STEM events that will be going on all month long at the HCPS-FCDI STEM Center.

We're immensely grateful to event sponsors and community partners Florida High Tech Corridor, SOFWERX, Southern Manufacturing Technologies, Inc., PLuGHiTz Live! Radio , University of South Florida College of Education and the Coalition for Science Literacy, Bay Community Network , Hillsborough County Public Schools , Pixel Foundry Software, Foundation for Community Driven Innovation and AMRoCFabLab - and we invite more industry partners to stand with these stalwart supporters of our future science and tech innovators!

Sponsorships and support at all levels are welcome and vital for letting youth know their good hard work is valued and supported by the community we want them to live and work in. Corporate volunteers, in-kind contributions for volunteer meals, and general support funds are all appreciated and applied completely to event production expenses.

Creativity met innovation in our Prodigy Program through a special partnership with the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation (FCDI) and AMRoCFabLab!()

Youth explored "Practical Arts" by transforming everyday materials into functional works of art, creating rope fabric bowls, tie-dye T-shirts, custom tote bags, and unique gadgets using laser cutters, 3D printers, and design software.

These hands-on experiences give young people the opportunity to discover new talents, build creative confidence, and see how simple ideas can become something amazing.

Come check out the kick off of ROBOTICON Tampa Bay tomorrow, Saturday, Oct 3, from 1pm to 5 pm at the HCPS-FCDI STEM Center at Adams Middle School! The event is free but registration is required. Visit ROBOTICON.net for more info and to secure your tickets.

We're excited to kick off ROBOTICON 2026 tomorrow, October 3, from 1pm to 5pm, at the HCPS-FCDI STEM Center with a sampler of STEM programs available in the community and showcasing at a larger scale later in the month at different ROBOTICON events.

On Saturday, you can check out and enjoy activities with Electrathon of Tampa Bay, the new CANDO-Caribbean American National Development Organization, Inc. TIDES STEM Club, Inventhers and Jr. Combat Robotics, see some FIRST teams at work, and drone demos.

There's no cost to attend but registration is required. Visit the link in comments to secure your tickets for tomorrow and upcoming events. Hillsborough County Public Schools educators and others are also invited to ROBOTICON Educator Info Sessions each weekend, as well.

Thank you to University of South Florida President Dr. Limayem and Dr. Eisenberg, of University Community Partnerships, for spending some time with us at AMRoC Fab Lab today!

We so enjoyed showing University of South Florida President Moez Limayem and Dr. Eric Eisenberg of the USF Office of Community Engagement & Partnerships around our AMRoCFabLab facility today, sharing our work in the University Area and longtime partnership efforts with USF, from support student internships to collaborative programming. We truly appreciated Dr. Limayem's time and genuine interest and look forward to more great opportunities to work with the University.
