And the winners are… We did it! Just a few smiling faces from the families whose names were pulled after the Bash for a retail gift card. Hope you were able to get a bit more for school! Two weeks down! A whole lot more to go! 😊🎒📚💫

We are a small nonprofit and to make our event a success takes all year - buying backpacks of all kinds (when we find a sale we are ELATED) shoes (when we find a good price), setting up partnerships, our wonderful barbers, great volunteers. ❤️

And then the Bash is here and it all seems to go so quickly. You hope you were able to help the families who attended and you wonder how the first day of school with new shoes, backpacks and fresh haircuts turned out for the hundreds of kids you met that day. 💫

Then a mom sends photos of her beautiful boy smiling with his backpack. She said he was excited to show it off at school. It’s amazing to get the chance to see this sweet smile and to know that he left our Bash knowing that HE IS SOMEBODY! 💪🏾

Enjoy your Batman back pack sweet boy and have a wonderful school year. 🎒📚✏️

There has been some trouble with our sign up link this month. So we are taking 10 more sign ups for THIS SUNDAY’s Food Basket giveaway. Remember you MUST be able to pick up the basket between noon and 12:30 p.m. on THIS SUNDAY August 16th at College Hill COGIC 6414 N. 30th Street.
