To promote and develop Ybor City by providing business resources, governmental and visitor information through a shared community vision while preserving our community's culture and historic landmarks by sponsoring projects and activities, which stimulate Ybor City is one of only two National Historic Landmark Districts in Florida and The Ybor City Chamber of Commerce is focused both on preserving

and developing the historic district. Founded in 1886 by Vicente Martinez-Ybor when he moved his cigar factory from Key West to Tampa, Ybor City holds a unique place in Florida’s social and economic history as our state’s “first industrial town.”

Primarily a regional entertainment center during the past decade, Ybor City’s central location, great transportation and critical mass of “creative industries” is making it the ‘Greenwich Village’ of Tampa. In addition to being a top tourist destination, Ybor City is a great place to meet, greet and do business.

Tampa CRA's Commercial Exterior Grant provides commercial property or business owners funds to enhance the appearance of commercial buildings located within one of our Community Redevelopment Areas.

Applicants can receive up to $75,000 with an owner funding match of 50 percent. A legacy credit may be available for some applicants. The property MUST include commercial use and work must be performed by licensed contractors.

Eligible improvements include, but are not limited to:
- Exterior deterioration repairs
-Exterior painting
-Exterior doors and windows
-ADA accessibility improvements
