Today our Executive Director accepted grant check on behalf of E3 Community Learning & Family Resource Center that was awarded by the Tampa Police Department and their TPD C.A.R.E.S. grant program. One of our primary initiatives will be to utilize the funds to provide safe and structured activities for latch key kids in our community.

We are so thankful for the support of TPD and we are excited to further the work that we do with children and families in our community.

This past Monday was bittersweet as we concluded the school year serving over 20 youth in E3 Community Learning & Family Resource Center's Literacy Learning Lab in partnership with The Way Church of Tampa Bay. Our goal was to prepare these 3rd graders for the upcoming FAST ELA portion of the test and we could not be more proud of the tremendous gains each of these students made.

Thank you to every tutor, volunteer, and donor who contributed to their success and time in the Literacy Lab. Please pray for these students that they do well on their test.

Our Executive Director is excited about learning and immersing himself for the next 3 days in the transformative model of the Harlem Children’s Zone in Harlem, New York. We can’t wait to see how we can implement what he learns from HCZ and shape the community work we do at E3 Community Learning & Family Resource Center.

We launched our Literacy Learning Lab back in March of this year and we have been overjoyed by the impact we have made thus far and the enthusiasm of the young learners we have been working with!

We are preparing these 3rd graders to past the upcoming FAST test in May and we are confident that they will do well!
