Hooked on a Cure- Tampa Bay Hooked on a Cure is a community-driven non-profit in the Tampa Bay area. JDRF is very near and dear to Matt's heart because his wife had Type 1.

Annually, we host a Fishing Tournament and Captains' Party , where we hold drawings and have a silent auction. Hooked on a Cure was created by Matt White, a leading member of the Tampa Bay community. Founded in 2015, Hooked on a Cure raises and donates 100% of the proceeds from the fishing tournament to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. It is our hope through educating the community about

Type 1 Diabetes and raising funds to support the ongoing research and treatments, that we can turn Type 1 into Type NONE.
