Now is the time to start thinking about learning a new lapidary or jewelry skill at the Tampa Bay Mineral and Science Club. Silversmithing, wire wrapping, kumihimo, fused glass, polymer clay, lapidary and other classes. Youth group is newly formed in 2013.

RENOVATION UPDATE: We’re slowly getting things back in place. Faceting is in a new room, and we now have two classroom spaces for table crafts and/or metal clay. Silver is coming back together with some improvements. Brighter lights are going into the main room, and the new interior paint and new floor brightens up the whole club. We will reopen for open shop on Tuesday. But please excuse the mess. We’re still getting set up.

We’re ready for Phase 2 of our flooring project. We moved all the massively heavy furniture to clear the east side of the building. The rest of the flooring goes in Monday and Tuesday. In the meantime, we’ve started painting the walls to a more complementary color. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped!

We're setting up for tomorrow's big fundraiser garage sale. Here are some photos of what we have so far, and we're adding more. The sale is inside so rain or shine, we'll be here from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. 10207 Fisher Avenue, Tampa. Parking is on the street (please watch out for deep ditches) or the parking lot directly across the street. We'll also have a members' tailgate. So bring a friend, come check it out!
