This year's Annual Easter Egg Hunt was a resounding success, bringing together over 100 children and their families for an afternoon full of laughter, excitement, and springtime fun.

The grounds were blanketed with thousands of colorful eggs, sending little hunters darting in every direction in search of their share of the bounty. You could feel the excitement as children discovered the eight coveted golden eggs, each one hiding a special prize sure to make any Easter basket a little more memorable. Shout out to Kiki's Sweet Vibes and Davis Island Life, who both supplied the prizes found in the golden eggs.

The turnout was a wonderful reminder of what makes our neighborhood so special: a community that shows up for one another and creates lasting memories together. From the smallest toddlers chasing after their first egg to the older kids strategizing their routes, smiles were everywhere.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the volunteers and civic association members who worked hard to organize and set up the event. Your dedication made the morning truly magical for so many families.

We look forward to making next year's hunt even bigger and better.

Attention DI Residents - there will be a briefing by Tampa Police Department officers on March 10, 2026 at 7pm at Peter O. Knight Airport parking lot.

Officers will share updates on safety issues, recent incidents, and upcoming events. Residents can ask questions, raise concerns, and talk directly with the officers who patrol their area.

The goal of the briefing is to build stronger relationships between police and residents, to give officers a chance to hear directly from the community about concerns and needs, and to make policing more visible, accessible, and collaborative, especially outside moments of crisis.
