Day 1 in Atlanta started before sunrise and ended with full hearts✈️🍑

📝 Agape Youth & Family Centers: Half our group spent the morning at Agape, helping students in their free summer program with essay writing, problem-solving games, and gym time. Agape Youth & Family Center

⚽️ Leveling the Playing Field: The other half headed to Leveling the Playing Field, sorting bins of donated sports equipment (679 baseballs counted!) to help organize over $10,000 worth of gear for redistribution to youth in under-resourced communities. Leveling the Playing Field

Atlanta, you gave our students a week they won’t forget.

From packing over 20,000 meals at the Atlanta Community Food Bank Atlanta Community Food Bank to sorting thousands of dollars worth of donated sports equipment, our students showed up ready to work. They sat with the weight of history at TheKingCenter and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights Center, served lunch to residents at the Atlanta Mission, and even made time for some furry friends at LifeLine Animal Project Project.

Four days. Three nights. Nine service sites. One unforgettable city. 🍑

Our SSP Class of ’27 just returned from Atlanta, and we did and captured everything. From assembling 20,000+ meals at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, to caring for animals at LifeLine, to sitting with the weight of history at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights… These students showed up with open hearts every single day. This is what servant leadership looks like in action. We couldn’t be prouder of this incredible group. Thank you to every organization that welcomed us, every donor who made this trip possible, and most importantly, to the Class of ’27 for reminding us why we do this work. 🙏
