Minority Enterprise Development Corporation of Tampa Bay, Inc. works to insure the success of minority owned businesses in the Tampa Bay area. was formed.

Initially, Minority Enterprise Development (M.E.D.) Week events were coordinated by the Minority Business Development Center under the leadership of Thomas Huggins. When the Department of Commerce closed the Tampa Office of the Minority Business Development Center, a group of concerned individuals took the lead to help aid in the success of minority owned businesses in the Tampa Bay area. After th
