Intergenerational community for families bringing children impacted by foster care to permanency. Autonomous families live at the Village.

New Life Village opened its doors in 2012 and is located in Tampa, Florida – an area which is heavily impacted by both the affordable housing and foster care crises. NLV is an intergenerational community designed to support families raising foster to permanency and kinship children who have survived abuse, neglect and trauma, offering them program-rich, below-market housing and onsite wrap-around

services. Designed for children formerly in foster care and/or affected by trauma, their foster-adoptive-kinship families now providing them permanency, and elders seeking meaning and purpose, our community-driven intergenerational housing and integrated onsite services improve health and wellbeing, housing stability, and educational attainment for residents at all stages of life. Senior citizens also live in the Village serving as surrogate grandparents, tutors and mentors. NLV is not a group home. The Village program allows children to realize safety, housing stability, permanency, healing and the ability to thrive within a trauma informed community. The Village hosts an onsite Trauma Informed Wellness, Resilience and Character Development Program. We exist to reduce the number of children in foster care by encouraging more families to adopt or to prevent children from entering foster care. New Life Village was recognized by the Florida Civic Advance with the 2019 Honorable Mention FCA Civic Excellence Award for Intergenerational Civic Engagement. New Life Village is the only community of its kind in Florida!

At New Life Village, we believe that healing is not the end of the journey, it’s the beginning of discovering your strength, your purpose, and your potential.

Today, we are proud to introduce Trauma to Triumph, a new initiative that celebrates the strength, resilience, and transformation of those who have experienced trauma. It is a reminder that our past experiences do not have to define our future. Through healing, support, and community, we can grow, thrive, and turn our stories into sources of strength. 💜

To celebrate the launch of Trauma to Triumph, we are excited to host our first event: Brains & Beauty Panel, a special event bringing together women who have overcome challenges, built successful lives and careers, and are making an impact in their communities.

Join us on Saturday, August 29th from 10 AM–12 PM in the New Life Village Clubhouse for an inspiring morning for girls and women ages 8+.

Our five incredible panelists will share their stories, wisdom, and experiences while encouraging the next generation to recognize their own beauty, brilliance, strength, and potential.

This is more than a panel. It’s a celebration of resilience, healing, empowerment, and the journey from Trauma to Triumph.

For many families, preparing for a new school year can be a challenge, especially when it comes to the cost of school supplies. That’s why we are so grateful to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office for their incredibly generous donation of school supplies! Your generosity will go a long way in supporting many of our Village families as they head into a new school year. 💙

Happy 813 Day, Tampa.

There is a quiet kind of magic that happens when people choose to care for one another.

We see it every day in our little corner of the 813. We see it when a child realizes there is an entire Village of people cheering them on. When a caregiver finds someone to lean on after a hard day. When a senior shares a story, a hug, or simply their time and reminds a child that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Over time, those small moments become something much bigger. Neighbors become family. A house begins to feel like home. Children who have experienced uncertainty find consistency. People who once felt alone find a place where they belong.

For more than a decade, New Life Village has been a little pocket of peace here in Tampa. Within these 12 acres are countless stories of healing, second chances, laughter, growth, and people choosing to show up for each other. And surrounding our Village is a city that has continued to show up for us.

So today, on 813 Day, we are simply grateful. Grateful for Tampa. Grateful for the people who believe in our Village. And grateful that our little corner of this city gets to be a place where people find home in one another.

New Life Village is currently seeking three interns who are passionate about making a difference in our community.

📱 Social Media Marketing Intern (1 Position)
Help tell the story of New Life Village through engaging social media content, photography, videography, and digital marketing. This internship is perfect for students interested in marketing, communications, public relations, or content creation who want hands-on experience making an impact.

💚 Resident Support Team Intern (2 Positions)
Work alongside our Resident Support Team to support Village families through wraparound case management, trauma-informed practices, community resource navigation, resident programming, and meaningful relationship-building. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing social work, psychology, counseling, human services, family studies, or related fields.

Our unpaid internships provide hands on experience, professional training, career development opportunities, and mileage and phone reimbursement. If you're looking for an internship where your work truly matters, we'd love to hear from you!

As New Life Village plans for its next chapter, Phase III will expand our campus with additional residential units for seniors, a new pilot program for youth aging out of foster care, and much-needed program and office space to better serve our families and community.

Michelle Boone brings extensive experience in community development and public service, and we’re excited to have her perspective helping shape the future of this important development.

Brian Weaver, Partner at Stinson LLP and leader of the firms Tax Credit & Impact Finance practice, brings valuable expertise in impact finance and community development that will help guide Phase III planning.
