🖤💛 Black History Month | Black Excellence in Workforce Development

This month, we honor the powerful ways African Americans have shaped workforce development; building opportunity, expanding access to training, and strengthening industries across generations.

A few lasting contributions include:
✅ Vocational & skills training: Leaders like Booker T. Washington advanced hands-on career education that prepared generations for skilled trades and emerging industries.
✅ Entrepreneurship & job creation: Trailblazers like Madam C.J. Walker created businesses that employed and trained others, proving that ownership builds pathways.
✅ Labor rights & fair work: Organizers like A. Philip Randolph helped expand worker protections and economic opportunity for working families.
✅ STEM innovation: Black inventors, engineers, and scientists have fueled progress in transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, and technology, turning ideas into careers.

At Tampa Bay Academy of Hope, we carry that legacy forward through mentoring, training, and career pathways that help young people and families move toward stability and success.
