Thank You, Natera!

A heartfelt thank you to Natera Genetics Lab for generously sponsoring our Camp Infirmary for the upcoming Faces of Courage Women’s Cancer Camp!

Having a fully staffed and equipped infirmary allows women facing all types of cancer to attend camp knowing that medical support is right there if they need it. That peace of mind means our campers can focus on what camp is really about—rest, laughter, friendship, healing, and FUN!

Thank you, Natera, for believing in our mission and helping us provide a safe, medically supervised weekend at no cost to our campers. Your support truly makes a difference!

SPONSORS ARE STILL NEEDED!
While our volunteer team makes camp run, our sponsors make it possible for us to offer this weekend completely free to women facing cancer.

We still have several important camp needs that have not yet been underwritten.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Courage Sponsor — $10,000
Hope Sponsor — $5,000
Wellness Sponsor — $2,500
Friday Night Dinner — $1,500
Saturday Breakfast — $500
Saturday Lunch — $1,000
Sunday Breakfast — $500
Live Butterfly Release for Sunday’s Memorial — $350
Sponsor a Camper for the Entire Weekend — $250
Sponsor a Camper for a Day — $100

Maybe you can’t sponsor one of these needs yourself—but you may know someone who can.

Please share our sponsorship needs with your employer, business owner, civic club, church, professional organization, friends and family. A $100 gift can sponsor a camper for a day, and $250 can help give a woman an entire weekend at camp.

Every sponsorship, large or small, helps us keep camp FREE for our cancer survivors.

WE ALSO NEED CAMP SUPPLIES

Faces of Courage collects these items year-round for ALL of our camps:
· Travel-size shampoo and conditioner
· Travel-size bath gel
· Toothbrushes and toothpaste
· Shower caps
· Hand soap
· Q-tips
· Clean towels
· Sleeping bags
· Blankets
· Single fitted sheets
· Single flat sheets

Donations of these items help us stretch every dollar and make sure our campers have what they need when they arrive.

A Few Volunteer Reminders

Dress for comfort! If you are working in the kitchen, please wear closed-toed shoes and keep long hair tied back. And help us go green by bringing a refillable water bottle.

Whether you volunteer for a few hours, sponsor a camper, underwrite a meal, collect supplies, bring desserts or simply share this email with someone who may want to help, you are part of making this weekend possible.

Thank you for continuing to show up for Faces of Courage and the women we serve. Let me know how you can help [email protected] or call 813 948-7478.

Cancer is Serious. Camp is Serious FUN!!!

With gratitude,

Peggie & the Faces of Courage Team

Our September Women’s Cancer Camp is FULL — and so is the waiting list!

Thank you to everyone who shared our camp flyer, told a friend, or helped spread the word. The response has been incredible.

But it also tells us something important.

There are far more cancer survivors looking for connection, support, and a place to simply be with people who understand than we can currently serve.

This is why fundraising is so vital right now.

We never want to tell a cancer survivor, “We don’t have room for you.” But the need for our programs continues to grow, and we simply cannot accommodate everyone who wants to attend.

Every donation, sponsorship, fundraiser, and community partner helps us create more opportunities for cancer survivors to come together, find support, laugh, heal, and remember they are not alone.

Thank you for helping us fill this camp. Now, we need your help so we can continue growing to meet the need.

All About Our 2026 Women’s Cancer Camp
Sometimes you just need a weekend to get away, take a deep breath, laugh, relax, and spend time with women who truly understand what it means to hear the words, “You have cancer.”
That’s what our 2026 Women’s Cancer Camp is all about.
Presented by the Vinik Family Foundation and hosted by Faces of Courage Foundation, this FREE, medically supervised weekend retreat welcomes women who have been diagnosed with any type of cancer.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, currently in treatment, or years beyond treatment, you are welcome at camp.
For one special weekend, you can leave some of the everyday worries behind and simply enjoy being taken care of. You’ll meet other women who understand the cancer journey without needing a long explanation—and you may arrive not knowing anyone and leave with a whole new group of friends.
What Happens at Camp?
We have a wonderful weekend planned! Campers will enjoy:
• Delicious gourmet meals prepared onsite
• Creative arts and crafts
• Wellness activities
• Educational and interactive discussions
• Special celebrations
• Time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings
• Plenty of laughter, friendship, and fun
• Honest conversations about life during and after cancer
There is no pressure to participate in everything. This is your weekend. Join in, sit and talk with new friends, enjoy some quiet time, or simply relax.
Our goal is to create a place where you can be yourself, feel supported, and remember that you are not walking this journey alone.
Where Is Camp?
Women’s Cancer Camp is held at Rotary’s Camp Florida, a beautiful, fully accessible camp facility with air-conditioned cabins, meeting spaces, dining facilities, and peaceful outdoor areas.
And yes—this is camp, but you won’t be roughing it!
Camp Is FREE
Thanks to our generous donors and sponsors, there is no cost to attend Women’s Cancer Camp.
A credit card is required when you register to hold your spot. Because space is limited and every camper’s weekend is paid for by our donors, we ask that you please let us know if your plans change.
If you do not attend and have not canceled at least 72 hours before camp, a $100 no-show fee will be charged after the weekend. This helps us make sure an open spot can be offered to another woman who would love to attend.
Traveling to Camp?
Faces of Courage does not cover airfare or other travel expenses.
If you are flying and would like us to arrange airport pickup, please fly into Tampa International Airport on Friday and plan to arrive before 3:00 PM. Your return flight should be scheduled for after 1:00 PM on Sunday.
If your flight falls outside those times, you can arrange transportation to or from camp using Uber or Lyft.
Have Questions? We’re Happy to Help!
We know attending camp for the first time can come with lots of questions. Please ask! We want you to feel comfortable and excited about joining us.
If you would like to talk through the weekend before registering, we can arrange a phone call or Zoom meeting. Email [email protected] to schedule a time.
Registration for the 2026 Women’s Cancer Camp is now open.
Come spend a weekend being cared for, making new friends, laughing, learning, relaxing, and reconnecting with yourself.
This weekend is about healing, friendship, sisterhood, and reminding every woman facing cancer that she never has to face it alone.
Come to camp. Come as you are. We’ll be waiting for you.
