Dose of Music Charity, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to providing comfort, joy, and meaningful support through the transformative power of music. We deliver live and recorded music to children and teens, families and friends, military service members and veterans, seniors, and others experiencing illness, hardship, or limited resources. Our programs
include—but are not limited to—therapeutic and entertainment performances in hospitals, assisted-living and nursing facilities, hospice care, and community and national benefit events. Through these efforts, Dose of Music fosters healing, emotional well-being, and social connection, ensuring that music serves as a vital resource for individuals and communities in need. We provide direct support and partner with charities, foundations, churches, businesses, and community organizations to make a meaningful. positive impact in people’s lives. Dose of Music Charity Goals & Objectives: * Music visits at hospitals, assisted living and nursing homes, hospice, group homes, troops/veterans, etc. * Musical entertainment for benefits, fundraisers, disaster relief, charities, and other events. * Fundraising opportunities for school music departments, benefits (local and national), non-profit charities, bands, musical artists, organizations, businesses, etc. * Provide musical opportunities to those with low income and/or other hardships. * Partnership opportunities for local and national musicians, bands, vocalists, singing groups, instrumentalists, music venues, theatres, etc. * Philanthropic volunteer opportunities for individuals, students, companies, and more! Inspiration: Dose of Music is inspired by Rachel, who passed away on June 8, 2007 at age 7. Rachel was a martial arts student of Jason Hopp (Dose of Music Founder & CEO). Jason intended to make hospital visits to sing and play guitar for Rachel and the other children to provide a dose of happiness to help them forget about the pain of their illnesses. Unfortunately, he did not get a chance when Rachel lost her 5 year courageous battle with cancer. Rachel and her family inspired Jason and so many others. Rachel's example of how to stare what life gives you right in the face is a constant reminder of how to live, how blessed life is, and to always be grateful. Dose of Music will be spreading Rachel's inspiration by giving back to others! Dose of Music Logo: The angel wings represent our mission of helping others and are inspired by Rachel who is now our angel. Pink was Rachel's favorite color so the halo just had to be "pink". Godsend Gang brings joy and assistance to those in need or less fortunate. We're recruiting gang members right here on the streets of the Tampa Bay area. It means the gang is going to be doing various acts of kindness and community outreach projects to give back and make a difference in people's lives. Godsend Gang is a branch of the Dose of Music Charity. Godsend Gang Defined:
“Godsend” 1) something that provides happiness or does good for a person or thing
2) a very helpful person 3) a desirable or needed thing or event that comes unexpectedly
“Gang” 1) a group of people working together on a task 2) a group of people sharing a common interest and relating together socially
We are a small charity organization and hope to grow with you. We do events as time permits and hope you can join us on the journey and help make a difference to those who need it.
