The Cuscaden Park Pickleball/Mini-Pitch Soccer court will be closed starting Monday, August 17 for resurfacing. It is expected to reopen in September.

🏡 Help Shape This Year's V.M. Ybor Home Tour!

Planning is officially underway for our 12th V.M. Ybor Home Tour, and we're looking for neighbors to join the planning committee! Whether you're passionate about history, architecture, event planning, marketing, sponsorships, or simply love our neighborhood, we'd love to have you on the team.

Our first planning meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 22, at 6:30 PM at Centro Asturiano (1913 N. Nebraska Ave.). Join us to help brainstorm ideas, coordinate logistics, recruit sponsors and volunteers, and make this year's tour our best yet.

🏠 Know a great property? We're also looking for unique homes, historic buildings, and interesting spaces to feature on this year's tour. If you—or someone you know—would be interested in showcasing a property, we'd love to hear from you! Here's a form to get the conversation started. Link in bio.

The Home Tour is one of V.M. Ybor's signature events, with proceeds directly supporting the Neighborhood Association's programs, communications, beautification efforts, and community events throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for the tour of the historic Sanchez y Haya Building and the discussion that followed! Despite the heat, it was a fantastic evening learning more about this exciting restoration and its future.

A huge thank you to J.C. Newman Cigar Company for hosting, and to the entire project team for sharing their work and vision. Most importantly, thank you to all of our neighbors who came out, asked thoughtful questions, and continue to stay engaged in our community.

We can't wait to see this landmark reopen to the public later this year!

📣 No Neighborhood Meeting This Wednesday, July 1!

Instead, mark your calendars for a special community event on Wednesday, July 8 featuring an exclusive tour of the historic Sanchez y Haya Building followed by a public meeting on the project's Community Benefits Agreement (CBA).

DETAILS:
6:00 PM – Historic Building Tour
Meet at Cigar Workers Park (1630 E. Columbus Drive) for a guided tour of the ongoing restoration of the iconic Sanchez y Haya building.

7:00 PM – Community Benefits Agreement Meeting
J.C. Newman Cigar Company (2701 N. 16th Street, 2nd Floor)

The Sanchez y Haya project team will provide an update on the redevelopment and discuss the proposed Community Benefits Agreement (CBA)—including how the project will benefit and impact the surrounding neighborhood. This is a great opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and participate in the conversation.

We hope you'll join us for this unique opportunity to see one of Ybor City's most significant historic buildings up close while learning about its future.

Please note: There will be NO V.M. Ybor Neighborhood Association meeting on Wednesday, July 1.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for V.M. Ybor Neighborhood Day at the Museum! It was wonderful to view the Ci**rs! Exhibit together and celebrate Ybor City's incredible history.

A special thank you to the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts and to J.C. Newman Cigar Company for the amazing curation and generously sharing artifacts that helped bring Ybor's cigar-making legacy to life.

If you weren't able to join us, we highly encourage you to visit the exhibit before it closes on July 19th.
