As we are heading into the final month of 2025, we'd like to take a moment to touch base with you and find out what you would like to see more or less of in 2026? When you joined BSMs, what was your motivation to join, has it changed? Did you join for the support & sisterhood aspect, did the volunteer opportunities call to you? We're hoping to hear from you, what you'd gain from this group during 2026. We want to start planning 2026 but we also want to do our best to meet your needs.
With that being said, we are having a VIRTUAL (Zoom) Town Hall meeting on 12/2 @ 630pm. Please join us and share your thoughts, we'd want to hear from you. You don't need to RSVP to attend the call, I will send out the Zoom conference information in the am on 12/2. If you can't make the call and have any suggestions or thoughts, please feel free to share them with me either at the BSM email address ([email protected]) or my personal email ([email protected]).

This is my son, 2nd Lieutenant Braidy Warner. Currently at The Basic School at Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. Attended St Petersburg College with a degree in Management and Organizational Leadership. Several of his friends were Marines and convinced him this would be a good idea. He’s loving every minute of it so far. He played team sports his entire life and missed that camaraderie. Well, he found it again! He’s very outgoing and enjoys learning new concepts and he’s really anxious to see where the Marine Corps takes him. We are so incredibly proud of him!

Let's show some holiday season cheer to our service members who will not be able to be with their loved ones this holiday season.

Looking for volunteers to either bake or purchase cookies. We will have 2 cookie pick up locations - Brandon & Lutz.

They are also looking for donations of cookie boxes to pack the cookies in for distribution. The boxes can be purchased via the Amazon link.

Please let me know if you will be baking/purchasing so we can coordinate a pick up!

Updated Holiday Meet Up Information....

We are looking to gather a group of volunteers for the Frogman Swim on 1/18/26. The sponsors will be able to keep our group of BSM volunteers together, so it can be a fun bonding experience while also supporting our military members and Gold Star Families.

Event Location: Sunday, January 18, 2026 Gandy Beach, St Petersburg to American Legion Post 138, Tampa.

Hope we can gather up some volunteers to support this event, please let me know if you are able to attend.

Sharing a comment from one of our Blue Star Mothers regarding last night's impromptu meetup event!

Last night’s Meet Up was lots of fun. Getting to know each other and the child/children who gave each their ‘Blue Star’ was awesome. Those moms who were unable to attend were missed-hope can attend those in the future. ~ mimi

This is just one part of what our group is about, having fun, supporting one another and sharing stories! If you haven't been to a Meet Up yet, give it a shot! Since our chapter covers such a large area ( 3 Counties!!!), we would like to spread out the meet up locations to make it as equitable as possible. If you have an idea for a location, share it with us, let's see if we can get a Meet Up planned!
