Rotary Club of Ybor City

Rotary Club of Ybor City Join us at the historic Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City for our weekly Wednesday lunch meetings at 12:15 and experience Rotary "Ybor City style".

Our Club was founded in 1948 and at that time its membership was made up primarily of businessmen in the Ybor City area of Tampa. It was, and continues to be, a multicultural club with members fluent in English, Spanish and Italian, similar to the makeup of the Ybor community. Since its founding, the Club has met weekly at the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City. We have excellent programs every week

, featuring fascinating speakers who expand our knowledge about local and national political matters, business and societal issues, Rotary International, and some who just come to tell us their stories.

Our members know how to have fun, but behind the scenes we're people of action. Members work hard to fundraise all year, and their demonstration of Service Above Self is why we can give money away at the end of each Rotary year. Check distribution day is one of our favorite meetings! President Zane Petty and President-Elect Jeff Terry presented worthy organizations with checks and our hearts are full. Congratulations USF Foundation Scholarship Office, Meals On Wheels of Tampa, Rotary's Camp Florida, Erwin Technical College, Ybor City Historical Society, Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School, Dunbar Elementary Magnet School, Lomax Elementary Magnet School

What better way to kick off Summer! Members continued our environmental project to clean up the Hillsborough River shore line. It’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it! Thanks to Anthony Scaglione and Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful.

Amazing things happen at our weekly meeting on Wednesdays at the Columbia. Like when The Honorable E.J. Salcines effortlessly tells stories of Tampa history woven with major events like World War II. Fantastic fellowship today as members and guests gather at our club that we call family.

Calling all Bourbon lovers! 🥃 Here's your chance to own a piece of history.

Enter our raffle to win this rare bottle of E.H. Taylor Tornado Surviving. This bourbon is a highly rare, collectible whiskey released in 2011 by Buffalo Trace. It resulted from barrels exposed to the elements after a 2006 tornado tore the roof and walls off Warehouse C. The extreme, direct weather exposure accelerated aging, yielding a unique 100-proof, 9-11 year old bourbon.

All proceeds go directly to local charities.
