ROBOTICON Tampa Bay ROBOTICON is an annual STEAM Education Showcase, hosted by the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation and AMRoC Fab Lab.

Since 2013, ROBOTICON Tampa Bay has been Tampa Bay's premier youth STEM Showcase, organized each fall by the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation, a nonprofit educational organization, in partnership with PLUGHITZ Live and other fine community partners. Spectators are welcome and the event is free and open to the public.

The ROBOTICON Tampa Bay Youth STEM Showcase kicked off earlier this week with a great sampling of some of the different types of competitive STEM events that will be going on all month long at the HCPS-FCDI STEM Center.

We're immensely grateful to event sponsors and community partners Florida High Tech Corridor, SOFWERX, Southern Manufacturing Technologies, Inc., PLuGHiTz Live! Radio , University of South Florida College of Education and the Coalition for Science Literacy, Bay Community Network , Hillsborough County Public Schools , Pixel Foundry Software, Foundation for Community Driven Innovation and AMRoCFabLab - and we invite more industry partners to stand with these stalwart supporters of our future science and tech innovators!

Sponsorships and support at all levels are welcome and vital for letting youth know their good hard work is valued and supported by the community we want them to live and work in. Corporate volunteers, in-kind contributions for volunteer meals, and general support funds are all appreciated and applied completely to event production expenses.

Impossible to miss in their bright orange shirts and signature cheer – “Oink, Oink, Boom!” – FIRST Robotics Competition team 1902, 4-H Exploding Bacon Robotics joins the ROBOTICON 2026 Off-Season, where they’ll be hosting some workshops in addition to playing Rebuilt with other participating teams.

Thank you to everyone who came out to today's ROBOTICON Kick Off and Demo Day. We're especially grateful to CANDO-Caribbean American National Development Organization, Inc. , Inventhers , Middleton High School Robotics, Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation for bringing their Electrathon cars and the Murchie-Irwin Family for providing a fabulous Jr. Combat Robotics experience today! Thank you, too, to our friends at SOFWERX and University of South Florida College of Education and Coalition for Science Literacy for coming out to support today.

Next Saturday: local FIRST Tech Challenge teams will be working on their new season robot builds and hopefully getting in some early season practice matches during our FTC Build & Scrimmage Day, Oct 10, from 1pm to 5pm.

Tampa Bay area FIRST Tech Challenge teams interested in joining in the fun, and guests wanting to check out this great middle and high school STEM learning program can get register at ROBOTICON.net.

We're excited to kick off ROBOTICON 2026 tomorrow, October 3, from 1pm to 5pm, at the HCPS-FCDI STEM Center with a sampler of STEM programs available in the community and showcasing at a larger scale later in the month at different ROBOTICON events.

On Saturday, you can check out and enjoy activities with Electrathon of Tampa Bay, the new CANDO-Caribbean American National Development Organization, Inc. TIDES STEM Club, Inventhers and Jr. Combat Robotics, see some FIRST teams at work, and drone demos.

There's no cost to attend but registration is required. Visit the link in comments to secure your tickets for tomorrow and upcoming events. Hillsborough County Public Schools educators and others are also invited to ROBOTICON Educator Info Sessions each weekend, as well.
