Good Evening Phi Eta Sigma members,
I hope you all are passing those midterms and preparing for finals. It is already almost November, which means registration for Stampede of Service is closely approaching.
Stampede of Service was originally created in 2006 by Maxon Victor, a student who wanted to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. To do so, he desired to give back to the community. Today through Stampede of Service, or S.O.S., large organizations at USF are able to partner with local non-profits for a day of service to senior citizens, youth, the environment, homeless and more in our local community.
S.O.S is January 17th, 2015, a Saturday and begins at 6am at the Corbett Soccer Stadium. Parking will be discussed in emails for those of you who are interested, but is also included on the Lead and Serve Website. There will also be a full schedule of the day at the site where you must go to register.
Registration is individual, and the deadline is November 7th, so please sign up, and put your affiliate organization as the Alpha Phi Honor Society! We are partnering with Alpha Phi Honor Society this semester to do S.O.S which is another honor society at USF so please make your affiliation Alpha Phi Honor Society!
To register, please go to this link and click where it says CLICK HERE TO REGISTER! You should be directed to the OrgSync Database (make sure you are logged in to using your NetID and password).http://leadandserve.usf.edu/servesos.php
The link above also possesses the schedule for the day, check it out and know what to expect. Breakfast will be served and even an after-party to celebrate your service!
After registering, please email [email protected] that you have registered, so we know who is coming!
Again, thank you and I look forward to participating in S.O.S in January! If you have any questions please email [email protected]
Best,
Bianca Echtler
