Nelo is just a kitten, but suffers from a broken leg that unfortunately needs to be amputated TODAY to give him the best chance at a pain-free life. His mom cannot afford the cost of the surgery and has asked our for help.

She said, a "broken leg would be hard to ensure a successful fix with surgery due to complexity of the break. Other options are to euthanize, or amputation. With Nelo only being a year old both vet’s I spoke to felt he would make a full recovery/adjustment to life as a tripod.

"I have been put through the wringer the last 3 years in a divorce and custody battle... I am a single and sole provider for my son who is adopted. That is a financial crisis in itself, however, I have made it happen with little to no help from him or others.

"Please consider helping me keep my son and his best fur friend together longer... Those two have the sweetest bond. I can’t stomach explaining to him why Nelo is gone.

"I feel it is important to give back to those who help you along the way. And I promise to donate back what is given when I can. Please consider helping us... I truly hate asking for help knowing others may need it more. But I do need help with this, and I hope to be approved for my sweet boy. I am mentally, emotionally, and financially exhausted."

Nelo is scheduled for surgery this morning in Kentucky. Frankie's Friends will help with the cost of his care, but we need your support. Please donate to help Nelo today.

"To the generous donors of Frankie's Friends,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering helping my beloved dog, Odi. Facing the unexpected cost of surgery for his three broken toes has been overwhelming, and your kindness would mean more to my family than words can express.

If our application is approved, your support would give Odi the opportunity to receive the care he desperately needs and the chance to heal without unnecessary pain. Your compassion would not only help save his mobility and quality of life but also lift an enormous financial burden from our shoulders during an incredibly difficult time.

Knowing that people are willing to help families and their pets in moments of crisis restores hope and reminds us that we are not facing this journey alone. We will always be grateful for your generosity and the difference you make in the lives of animals and the people who love them.

Thank you for giving Odi a chance at a healthy, happy future,

With sincere gratitude,

Angelica and Odi"

Harley Quinn had an open, ulcerated, and bleeding mass on her face that needed to be removed immediately. Her dad reached out to Frankie's Friends for help as he was unable to afford the cost of this surgery.

He said, "I honestly have no words to express the emotions running thru me right now. Thank you doesn't seem like its sufficient to express the gratitude I feel... But I'm medically retired army and have some physical and mental issues she has been there for."

Your donations allowed us to provide the financial assistance Harley Quinn and her dad needed. Together we can help keep best friends together and ensure they get the care they need.

Such a great update on a pet we helped through the Vet Care for Rescues Grant Program!

Such a great update on a pet we helped through the Vet Care for Rescues Grant Program!

Another great adoption update! Amber came to us from Round Valley and her medical was sponsored by Frankie's Friends. Here is what her dad shared about her

"Amber is doing great and she mostly ignores the cats. She loves hunting lizards in our backyard. She hates the pool and water in general. She loves jumping on the furniture. On walks I say she has ADD. She's fine, but if a lizard runs or a dog barks, she tears off in that direction. It makes for good entertainment. Here is my favorite picture of Amber. I was home alone and just woke up. They were next to me on our bed

“We are beyond grateful for the life-saving support we received from Frankie’s Friends. Because of your generosity, Maui was able to get the emergency surgery she desperately needed, and we truly believe you gave her a second chance at life.

Maui is more than just our dog, she is family, our companion, and such a big part of our everyday lives. Facing the reality of losing her due to something we couldn’t afford in that moment was heartbreaking. When we received help, it felt like a miracle during one of the most difficult times we’ve ever experienced.

Thanks to you, Maui was able to receive the care she needed, and we are now focused on her healing and recovery. Seeing her rest comfortably and begin to regain her strength means everything to us.

We cannot thank you enough for your compassion, generosity, and kindness. What you’ve done for Maui and for our family will never be forgotten. You didn’t just help cover a medical expense, you helped save a life, and that means more to us than words can truly express.” — Maui's Family

“… And when our time together is done, and you move on in the world,
Remember me with kind thoughts and tales, for a time we were unbeatable.
Nothing passed among us undetected.
If we should meet again on another street I will gladly take up your fight.
I am a military working dog, and together we are guardians of the night.”

This Memorial Day we remember our fallen heroes, may we never forget their courage and sacrifice. Thank you to those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

“Thank you for giving Sasha something medicine alone can’t offer, the chance to stay in the world she loves, surrounded by the people who love her back. Your generosity doesn’t just fund treatment, it buys her comfort, time, and dignity. It means she gets to wake up to familiar voices and soft sunlight a little longer. That is a gift beyond measure, and we’re profoundly grateful.” — Sasha's Family
