When this young lady found the book by Sharon Creech she has in her hands, she gasped and yelled. “It’s perfect”. This is the book they have been reading in class. It is moments like these that make the countless hours of hard work behind the scenes worthwhile. Our team will continue to do everything in our power to bring Book Joy to students and teachers across the USA! Thank you to all of you who volunteer, donate, and offer support to make these moments possible.

Day 1 at Harms Elementary in Detroit was full of joy and wonder! We threw a school-wide Joy of Reading Book Party alongside our friends at — because healthy sight and a love of reading go hand in hand. When you can’t see clearly, reading is out of reach. Together, we’re removing that barrier — and that’s exactly why this partnership is so impactful.

The Joy of Reading Summer Book Party has rolled into Lockport, Illinois. Stop one today was full of smiles as students and teachers chose books and found a comfy spot to read together. Students were even able to come in their PJs and bring their stuffies! Thank you for bringing us back to Milne Grove Elementary School to celebrate Book Joy, !
