We’re back in the studio!🔥🩰

Tampa City Ballet is excited to kick off our 2026–2027 season as Artists-in-Residence at the University of South Florida.

Our first day back was filled with company class, rehearsals and a lot of hard work as our dancers prepare for the performances ahead.

There’s nothing quite like having the TCB dancers back in studio together pushing, creating, and bringing a new season to life!

We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on. The 2026–2027 season is officially underway.🎉🩰🔥

Meet the voice of our Secret Garden. 🌿🌸🩰

We are thrilled to welcome J A V A as Emcee of the Tampa City Ballet 2026 Gala & Auction.

A three-time Emmy-nominated television host and lifestyle expert, Java has interviewed everyone from Hollywood stars and Hall of Fame athletes to leading executives. Today, she hosts Michelin Star Revelation ceremonies across the country and can be seen in Apple TV+’s Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars, produced by Gordon Ramsay.

But there’s another side of Java that makes welcoming her into our Secret Garden especially meaningful:

She is a dancer.

Java began dancing at just four years old, went on to major in Ballet in college, and has remained a passionate champion of the arts throughout her career.

On September 18, she steps inside the Secret Garden with us for an immersive evening of art, performance, community, and giving in support of the future of Tampa City Ballet.

DANCE ALONGSIDE TAMPA’S PROFESSIONAL BALLET COMPANY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON 🐭🩰🎄

Tampa City Ballet invites dancers from all studios throughout Tampa Bay to audition for The Nutcracker.

This is your opportunity to take the stage alongside Tampa's Professional Ballet Company, work with our artistic team, and be part of one of Tampa’s most beloved holiday traditions.

You do not need to be a Tampa City Ballet School student to audition. Dancers from all studios are welcome!

Auditions | August 29 & September 5

Ages 15+ | 2:00–3:00 PM
Ages 7–10 | 3:00–4:00 PM
Ages 11–14 | 4:00–5:00 PM

Auditions are mandatory for all dancers including Tampa City Ballet School Students.

Behind every performance is a team of leaders dedicated to strengthening the arts in our community.

Today, we’re introducing two members of the Tampa City Ballet Board of Directors, Angela Miller Kumar and Odeta Xheka.

A fourth-generation Tampa native, Angela brings a lifelong passion for the arts, cultural heritage, and community service. With advanced studies in Art History, French, and Cultural Heritage Protection, she has dedicated her time to supporting nonprofit organizations, preserving history, and expanding access to arts and culture throughout the communities she serves.

Originally from Albania, Odeta is an artist, writer, curator, and the Founder and Director of OXH Gallery, a contemporary art space dedicated exclusively to women artists. Through her writing, exhibitions, and advocacy, she has helped elevate important artistic voices while contributing to Tampa’s growing cultural landscape.

Together, they bring a unique combination of local heritage, global perspective, arts leadership, and a shared belief in the power of the arts to inspire, educate, and connect communities.

We’re grateful for their leadership, vision, and dedication as we continue building the future of Tampa City Ballet. ✨
