LTA members recently got a sneak peek inside the historic restoration of Tampa Theatre!

Jamie Whitehurst, LT’24, Monica Lee Miranda, LT’25, and Carson Chambers, LT’25 joined a hard hat tour for a behind-the-scenes look at the work underway ahead of the theatre’s 100th birthday this October. One fascinating detail: the iconic “stars” in the atmospheric theatre are being upgraded from light bulbs to fiber optics as part of the restoration.

Special thanks to Nancy Hutson, LT’06, for organizing the tour and to Tampa Theatre’s Lea Van Name Tibie for giving the group an incredible look behind the scenes.

The 2026 Hard Hat Tours are co-presented by Creative Contractors and Ellison Advisors, with additional support from Bolin Philanthropic Trust, Bolin Law Group, and J.C. Newman Cigar Co.

We love seeing LTA members out exploring the history, culture, and future of Tampa Bay!
