Thank you to all who have continued to support Christmas gift purchasing for HUDVASH children. These are all Hillsborough bags that will be distributed tomorrow and we had enough extra to send some to Bay Pines. It took several organizations and private donors to get it done but it’s done for the 9th year in a row! Well over 200 children will have gifts in Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, Citrus and Polk Counties and some in Pinellis!

Thanks to our own organization family, other organizations we partner with and private donors we are able to provide over 150 veterans with all the fixings for Thanksgiving

Thank you Luis from Arbor Construction, Megan from American Legion Auxiliary Unit 418 and Lynda Anderson ALA Unit 186 for packing Thanksgiving boxes. There are 70 more boxes loaded into the trailer.

Thank you SAL Squadron 148 and ALA Unit 148 for your monetary donations toward the purchase of pre-cooked Thanksgiving dinners for our HUDVASH that are unable to cook.

We are starting planning for our HUDVASH veteran holidays. The weekend before Thanksgiving we will be needing:
136 packages of dinner rolls
122 pumpkin pies
30 apple pies
We will also have the Hillsborough Christmas wish list for HUDVASH kids the week of Thanksgiving if you’d like to sponsor a child or children. We do not request bikes or electronics as we get so many children but we do get a wish list of what they like.

80 pounds of birdseed delivered for Baldomero Lopez veteran’s nursing home bird feeders. The vets love looking out the windows at the birds!
