Great teachers do more than teach recipes and techniques. They build confidence, set standards, develop professionalism, and inspire the next generation of culinarians and hospitality leaders.

From high school classrooms and technical colleges to apprenticeship kitchens and professional development programs, your impact reaches far beyond the lab or kitchen.

🔥 Could your student be Florida’s next culinary champion? 🔥

The Florida Future Chef Student Cook-Off is giving students ages 8–12 the chance to showcase their creativity, passion, and cooking skills through an original school meal challenge!

Finalists will:
🏆 Compete live in Tampa
đź’° Earn scholarship opportunities up to $5,000
👨‍🍳 Receive feedback and mentorship from culinary professionals

This competition is about more than cooking. It’s about confidence, creativity, nutrition, and inspiring the next generation of chefs.

🎥 Students must submit a 2–5 minute video entry by July 13, 2026.

👨‍🍳🎓 The future of Food Sport is shining bright!

The Student & Chef Showdown at Lancaster Career Center in Lancaster, SC, hosted by the ACF Chefs of Charlotte, brought together rising talent and seasoned chefs for an incredible team-based battle in the kitchen.

🏆Paired up and put to the test, these teams delivered creativity, skill, and serious flavor… and one standout rose to the top. Congratulations to Michael Lurz, who earned the Golden Ticket and will advance to the WFC Junior Championship this October in Indianapolis!

Events like this continue to show just how strong the pipeline is for the next generation of culinarians. We’re proud to help create opportunities through Food Sport and can’t wait to see these future stars take the stage. 🔥

We are hiring a Culinary Instructor with a strong background in hot line cooking, fine dining, and banquets with 6 years of Executive Chef experience managing a team. A bachelor's degree is preferred as is teaching experience but not required for the right candidate.

Congratulations to all the chefs who came out to get certified this weekend!

We had 9 SNS Managers and Production Coordinators from Hillsborough County Public Schools Student Nutrition Services department earn their American Culinary Federation Certified Culinarian® certification.

We also had Chef Patrick Artz, Chef Instructor from Erwin Technical College earn his American Culinary Federation Certified Executive Chef® certification.

A huge thank you to Chef Deb Ferguson, CC, and Arianne Corbett, CC, for hosting us and helping strengthen our community of chefs!
