We learned of exciting news a couple weeks ago. The Bailey Family Foundation was selected to receive the 2018 Philanthropist(s) of the Year Award! The award will be presented to The Bailey Family at this year’s National Philanthropy Day Luncheon on November 14.

The primary mission of The Bailey Family Foundation is to support post-secondary education through scholarships. In 2018, the Foundation awarded 500 scholarships totaling $2.5 million. In addition, the Foundation supports local charitable organizations, and over the past 20 years, Board members have served on advisory boards for the following: The Salvation Army, Art for Autism, The Florida Aquarium, Tampa General Hospital, Academy of the Holy Names, University of Tampa, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Florida Orchestra and Tampa Bay History Center.

Regarding the award, Founder Ron K. Bailey states, “It is quite an honor. Thank you for the support and to those who nominated us.”
