Come out to the first ever HAAPI (Honoring Asian American and Pacific Islanders) Festival in the City of St. Petersburg this Saturday, 5/31 from 3-10pm at Albert Whitted Park. NAPAWF will be there collecting petitions for Medicaid Expansion and enjoying the celebration of our AAPI community through cultural performances and delicious food. Free and family-friendly event. We hope to see you all there! ✨️✨️

We have 10 days left until election day - all hands on deck, we urgently need volunteers to GET OUT THE VOTE with us to ensure our Asian community voters vote YES ON 4! The only way we can end the abortion ban in Florida is to get 60% of voters to vote YES - join us in getting the word out 💜💜

Starting Sunday, Oct. 27 to Tuesday, Nov. 5 (election day) we will be hosting DAILY canvassing and phonebanking shifts! We are offering $25 VISA e-gift cards to all who volunteer with us. 💚💚

✨️✨️Thank you to our amazing volunteers who came out to the Super Saturday to canvass our neighbors in Precinct 129 in Downtown St. Petersburg! Thank you the UU Church for lending your space for us to launch the canvass day.

☀️☀️Our mighty team were able to inform and educate our community on the near total abortion ban as well as engaging folks to show their political power by voting YES ON 4 this November 5th!

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥NAPAWF continues to host our weekly phonebank and canvassing to educate and engage our Asian American and Pacific Islanders community on Amendment 4 throughout the state - join us!

The Financial Impact Estimating Conference concluded their drafting of a deceptive and politically-motivated financial impact statement that, if they have their way, will appear under Amendment 4 on the ballot. They’re trying to cause confusion and hide the real issue: Amendment 4 is about ending Florida’s extreme abortion ban which outlaws abortion before many women even realize they are pregnant.

Today is Equal Pay Day for Asian American, Native
Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander women. AANHPI women earned, on
average, 80C for every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men last year. But looking past the average, many ethnic groups face even wider wage gaps.

Combining over 20 ethnic groups into one number creates a
misleading picture that all AANHPIs are well-off and financially
secure. Many communities face even wider wage gaps than the
overall average - especially Pacific Islanders, South Asians, and
Southeast Asians.

The Florida Supreme Court released 2 critical opinions

1. The 15 week abortion ban is upheld, what this means is the 6 week abortion ban will take effect 30 days from today.
AS OF NOW, ABORTION IS STILL LEGAL UP TO 15 WEEKS IN FLORIDA!!

2. The ballot amendment to limit government interference is approved to be on the ballot this election! 👏🏽👏🏽 This means it is up to us, the voters to vote this November! This is the way we can support abortion access for all Floridians.
