🎉 WELCOME BACK, JAMES ELEMENTARY PTA! 🎉

We are so excited to celebrate another Hillsborough County school community bringing its PTA back to life! 💙

Having an active PTA at a school is about so much more than events and fundraising. It creates a place where families, educators, and the community can work together, strengthens family engagement, provides resources and programs for students, develops volunteer leaders, and gives families a collective voice in support of every child.

National PTA’s mission says it best:

“To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.”

That mission starts right inside our schools. Every time a PTA is restarted, we rebuild another connection between families, schools, and communities — and create new opportunities to support, engage, and advocate for students.

🎉 WELCOME BACK, FRANKLIN BOYS PREPARATORY ACADEMY PTSA! 🎉

We are so excited to celebrate another Hillsborough County school community bringing its PTSA back to life! 💙💛

Something as simple as a new pair of socks or underwear can make a meaningful difference for a student. Through OASIS Socktober, we can help ensure Hillsborough County students have these basic necessities so they can come to school feeling comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. 💙

As we prepare for the November 3 General Election, HCCPTA wants to make sure our local PTA/PTSA communities have information about important questions appearing on the ballot.

🗳️ Referendum 1: How Hillsborough Chooses Its Superintendent

HCCPTA has adopted a formal position opposing Referendum 1, which would change Hillsborough County’s Superintendent of Schools from a position appointed by the School Board to an elected, partisan position.

HCCPTA’s adopted position calls for a NO vote on Referendum 1.

National Walk & Bike to School Day celebrates the joy of walking and biking to school. It is a community investment in students' health and safety. Schools across the country and the world participate by walking and biking to school on October 7th.

Sidewalk Stompers wants to make 2025 Hillsborough County Public Schools biggest Walk to School Day celebration ever! Will your school join us?

There’s no formal agenda and no appointment needed. Whether you have a quick compliance question, need help working through a PTA issue, want to brainstorm an idea, or just want to connect with HCCPTA, this time is for you!

📣 HCCPTA FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF 2026–2027! 💙💛

Calling all Hillsborough County PTA/PTSA leaders! Join us for our first General Meeting of the new school year!

📅 Saturday, September 19, 2026
⏰ 10:00 a.m.
💻 Via Zoom

We’ll officially kick off the 2026–2027 year, vote on important Council business, share updates, and let you know what HCCPTA has planned to support our local PTA/PTSA units this year.

🗳️ Registration is required to vote.

Advance registration allows HCCPTA to confirm your local unit, good-standing status, and eligibility to serve as a voting delegate.

💡 You do NOT have to have additional delegates attend, but we strongly encourage you to invite more than one officer from your PTA/PTSA to participate! The more leaders who are informed and involved, the stronger our local units and PTA community will be.

Once your registration has been reviewed, you’ll receive additional meeting information from HCCPTA before the meeting.
