Looking for a few African American and Hispanic Brothers to hit the streets on Saturday, October 25th at 10am in Tampa to canvass for Harris/Walz.

Chapter Meeting Tonight: The NFBPA Tampa Bay Area Chapter welcomes Zaneta Ellison. Ms. Ellison is a native of St. Petersburg Florida. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the State of Florida, and the owner and operator of a private practice counseling center, New Vision Behavioral Health Incorporated (NVBH). NBVH provides mental health and addiction counseling services to all ages. She coins herself as a Transitional therapist and certified life coach. Her work enables others to see past their present circumstances, and strive towards a place of authenticity, clarity, and mental-emotional wellness.

Join us tonight at 6:00PM EST for what's bound to be a very insightful conversation and Q&A! The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Cynthia Johnson. This is our final meeting before Summer break. Meetings will resume in August.

Chapter Meeting: Join us tonight for our monthly chapter meeting. Ocea Wynn, Administrator of Neighborhood and Community Affairs for the City of Tampa will be the guest speaker at our general meeting on Tuesday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m EST.

Ocea Wynn, Administrator of Neighborhood and Community Affairs, embarked upon a career in public service almost fifteen years ago, when she joined the City of Tampa. In her previous career, she amassed over twenty years of work experience focusing on leadership development and innovative technology in both private industry and as a Department of Defense contractor.
Ocea is an electrical engineer, who received a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Environmental Management.

She keeps abreast of the advances in local government executive leadership by participating training such as the International City and County Management Association (ICMA) emerging leader professional public management program, mid-career manager leadership development program, and most recently, the Gettysburg Leadership Program focused on enhancing personal leadership and organizational effectiveness. Hear more from Ms. Wynn tonight!

CHAPTER MEETING: Join us Tuesday, March 2nd at 6pm EST for our general meeting. Dr. Cynthia Johnson will be our guest speaker and will give and Economic Development update on .

Dr. Cynthia Johnson started with Pinellas County Economic Development in 2000 and was appointed Senior Manager of Business Assistance in 2001. She manages the department’s entrepreneurial and small business assistance and development initiatives. As an economic development practitioner, trainer, mentor, and educator, she has supported hundreds of individuals with the creation, retention, and expansion of their businesses.

REMINDER: Our first meeting of the year is tonight, Tuesday, January 26th at 6pm. You don’t want to miss! This month's guest speaker is Kenneth Jones.

Kenneth “Ken” Jones serves as the Hillsborough County, Florida, Economic Development Department’s Manager of Workforce and Industry Strategic Initiatives. Ken is a military veteran (U.S. Air Force) with more than 23 years of economic development experience spent in the public sector with the City of St. Petersburg, the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, and private sector with Dun & Bradstreet and as President of his own manufacturing and wholesale distribution company.
