When you teach a child what philanthropy looks like in action, you are not just changing their life today. You are shaping the kind of adult they will become tomorrow.

That is the power of partnerships like the one we share with United Way Suncoast. For more than 20 years, their support has made it possible for thousands of students across Tampa Bay to experience generosity firsthand, and the greatest return on that investment is knowing that one day, these same students will be the ones showing up for the next generation.

As we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Muma BizTown, we are deeply grateful for partners who have believed in this mission from the very beginning and in the young people it serves.

The greatest lesson we can teach young people about philanthropy is to show them what it looks like in action.

Today, United Way Suncoast's Chief Communications Officer Ernest Hooper and his team visited Muma BizTown to see the impact of their partnership firsthand, spending the day volunteering alongside our students and experiencing the energy of Muma BizTown in action.

Watching community leaders give their time alongside young people is a powerful thing. It shows our students that philanthropy is not just something you give, but something you live, a lesson they will carry far beyond Muma BizTown.

As we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Muma BizTown, we are grateful for United Way Suncoast's continued support and for the role they play in making these experiences possible for the students of Tampa Bay.

Thank you, Ernest and the entire United Way Suncoast team!

Think all of the kids that go to Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay Biz Town just show up for the one day and that’s it? Quite the contrary. It is the combination of months of preparation and lessons. Listen to the latest episode of The β€œMoney” Market Podcaat with Vice President of Community & Government Affairs, Oliver Millour, as he shares the prep that goes into the day that begins months in advance. This , we are honoring the 300+ educators who brought JA Finance Park to life this year. 🧭

In a world where financial choices can shape a lifetime, these teachers helped students take their first real steps toward independence. They led classroom conversations about paychecks, taxes, budgeting, and real world tradeoffs β€” topics many adults wish they had learned sooner. More importantly, they created space for students to ask big questions and start imagining their futures.

Through every lesson, these educators helped students see themselves not just as kids but as future adults with dreams to pursue, responsibilities to manage, and the power to make informed decisions. That kind of guidance is truly priceless. πŸ’›

We are proud to recognize the educators of Progress Village as one of this year's outstanding participating schools with a special prize. πŸŽ‰

Thank you for being steady, grounding voices for your students. You are helping build a generation that is not only financially literate but fearless.

This week, our incredible partners at Amgen hosted the 3DE Principals Roundtable, bringing together JA educational partners and local community members for a powerhouse day of inspiration, collaboration, and bold strategy around how 3DE can transform schools and communities alike.

A special thank you to Junior Achievement & 3DE Schools CEO Jack Harris for keynoting the event and inspiring us all with JA's vision for the future of education and workforce development. And a huge thank you to JATB Board Member Melissa Ansell, and the entire Amgen team for opening their doors and championing our mission! πŸ™Œ

As one of the original supporters of Muma BizTown, Tampa Electric's commitment to experiential learning has helped empower students to discover their potential and open their minds to possibility.

Through their support, students get to step into a simulated economy, take on real professional roles, and experience firsthand what it means to work, lead, and succeed. As JA has grown, Tampa Electric has expanded their support into each of our learning experiences β€” a testament to how deeply invested they are in the future and success of Junior Achievement and the students we serve.

Last week, JATB Board Member and VP of Finance at TECO, Jeff Chronister, joined Madeline (Maddie) Box and their team for a hands-on day of volunteering, stepping into the busy, student-run streets of BizTown to mentor, encourage, and engage with the very students their support makes possible.

Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay is incredibly grateful for Tampa Electric's continued investment in the next generation of Tampa Bay's leaders. Thank you, TECO, for your dedication to inspiring and empowering Tampa Bay's future workforce.
