This past Saturday, the Hook-A-Hero Board, ambassadors, and several of our first responder nominees had the honor of attending and supporting the Hillsborough Cattlemen Foundation annual clay shoot. It was a great day in the field, helping with the event, spending time with incredible people, and getting a little playtime in shooting alongside our friends, partners, nominees and ambassadors.

We’re incredibly proud to partner with an organization that does so much for our agriculture and farming communities, all their amazing work with FFA, and their Sheepdog Program that works so closely with Hook-A-Hero to support the first responder, active military, and veteran communities.

Thank you to everyone who made the day such a success. Partnerships like this truly matter.

What an incredible honor for Hook-A-Hero to recognize two outstanding young leaders through our first-ever Family First, Future Strong Scholarship.

Congratulations to Brooke Wright and Quinn Metcalf — two students who truly represent the values of service, resilience, leadership, compassion, and commitment to community.

Brooke’s passion for helping others, leadership through FFA, academic excellence, and desire to pursue nursing reflect a heart built for service. Her story beautifully highlights the impact first responder families have on shaping future leaders with empathy, strength, and purpose.

Quinn’s dedication, perseverance, academic drive, and goal of following in his father’s footsteps into law enforcement embody the work ethic and commitment to others that this scholarship was created to support.

Reading through their essays and recommendations was a powerful reminder that behind every first responder is a family making sacrifices, building resilience, and inspiring the next generation.

We are beyond grateful to partner with the Peirano Family Foundation to invest in these remarkable young adults and support their futures. The future is bright because of leaders like Brooke and Quinn. ❤️
